This is where we’ll be staying! She’s a great old dame, circa 1926. We think she’s charming but she definitely wears her age. If you’re hoping for a more polished experience, next door at the Fairmont is your best bet. Rooms here start at $199.

The Fairmont
The Fairmont is home to the the Tonga Room tiki bar and, supposedly, a tryst between Marilyn Monroe and JFK. When Claire first moved to the city, she used to bike here and take naps in the lobby. This is where the brunch will be on Sunday.
